Paul Gonzales Jr

Paul Gonzales, Jr., 81, passed away Saturday at his home. He was born on a Monday, February 1, 1943 in Edinburg, Texas to Pablo Barrientes Gonzales and Maria Pardo Gonzales. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Juanita (Joe) Rios and nephew; Gregory Paul Perez.
Paul is survived by his siblings; Elia (Gabriel) Perez, Ruben (+Diane) Gonzales, Vicente Gonzales, Ricardo (Marta) Gonzales, Edda Hernandez and Michael (Elena) Gonzales as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul lived in Pecos, Texas during his school years and graduated from Pecos High School. He then moved to Toledo, Ohio where he studied at Mercy College and worked as a physical therapy assistant at Mercy Hospital for many years. He then moved home to Edinburg and worked in an outpatient setting until his retirement.
He was a devoted Catholic and attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. He was an avid reader and loved music of any genre; a trait he passed on to all his siblings He was a runner and participated in many races and loved to travel.

Paul will be cremated under the care of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas and a Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion Street, Edinburg, Texas.
