Oscar Garcia

Oscar Garcia, 77, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Ediniburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Tuesday, January 30, 1945 in Hidalgo, Texas to Francisco Garcia and Maria de Jesus Flores. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Eleazar Garcia and sister; Alba Delgado.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Melva Rodriguez Garcia, children; Edna Hortencia (Sergio) Guerrero, Wilbert De Alejandro (Edna Colion) Garcia, Oscar Matthew (Nicolette Rodriguez) Garcia and Carlos Tonathew Garcia, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Oscar had a love for life, always a joyful, humorous, kind and loving man. He had a passion for screenwriting and songwriting, He enjoyed carpentry and fixing anything that needed repairs. He was a sharp dressed man always wearing his hat and boots. He allowed the cowboy in him to show with his love for horses and animals. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife and family. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. A mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Catholic burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Carlos Tonathew Garcia, Oscar Matthew Garcia, Wilbert Garcia, Brandon Guerrero, Sergio Guerrero, Bryan Segovia, Brendan Rush and Rudy Rodriguez. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
