Oralia Rodriguez Garcia

Oralia “Lala” Garcia, 91, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at her daughter’s residence in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Pharr, Texas on a Tuesday, May 20, 1930 to Donaciano Rodriguez and Maria Garza Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maximiano “Max” Garcia, Sr., brother; Roberto Rodriguez, sister; Eva Rodriguez and granddaughter; Alexis Aaron.
Oralia is survived by her children; Gustavo Arturo (Mary) Garcia, Maximiano “Max” Garcia, Jr., Ricardo Noe (Elva) Garcia, Diana G. (Timoteo) Munoz and Dora Estela (Ronald) McKee, siblings; Aurora R. Klosa, Don Rodriguez, Raul “Roy” Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez and Mary R. Ruzicka, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lala lived in Edinburg Texas all of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and served as the Financial Secretary and a Regent. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister and Coordinator where she was a member. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, reading, gardening and traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by family and all those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends today, Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
