Maria M. Corona

Maria Corona, 95, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Wednesday, July 10, 1927 in Edinburg, Texas to Jesus Martinez and Ascencion Diaz Martinez. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Jose Salud Corona, sons; Ramiro M. Corona, Fernando Corona, Jose Javier Corona and Jose Salud Corona, Jr.
She is survived by her loving children; Esthela Ladford, Saul M. Corona, Janie Garcia, Amalia C. Balli, Esperanza Solis, Leticia Corona and Daniel Corona, 27 Grandchildren, as well as numerous Great Grandchildren and Great, Great Grandchildren.
Maria was a loving woman who enjoyed many hobbies but her favorite was gardening. She loved listening to her radio. She especially loved spending time with her family and cooking for them as often as possible. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
The Corona family will receive friends on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Chapel service will be celebrated on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Having the distinguishd honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Michael Luis Garcia, Moses Lee Garcia, Raul Sandoval, Julian Garcia, Joseph Garcia and Daniel Corona. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
