Christian Ruben Chavez

Christian “Red” Ruben Chavez, 35, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. He was born on Wednesday, February 5, 1986 in McAllen, Texas to Ruben Chavez, Jr. and Blanca Patricia Pena. He is preceded in death by his brother and sister.
Christian is survived by his spouse; Traci Renee Allen-Chavez, children; Mikayla Rojas, King Zion Scruggs and Amira Scruggs; parents, four sisters and 2 brothers.
Christian lived in Edinburg all his life, was a 2005 graduate of Edinburg High School and worked as a Lyft driver. He had a love for music, enjoyed playing guitar, playing Metallica and was a member of the Fighting Failure Band. Christian enjoyed several hobbies such as paint balling, being a gamer and animae.
His family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Celebration of Life at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
