Carlos "Charlie" Flores

Carlos “Charlie” Flores, 68, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on a Monday, August 16, 1954 in Edinburg, Texas to Efrain Frank Flores and Isabel Perez Flores. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Sylvia Espericueta Flores and son; Joseph Thomas Flores.
He is survived by his loving children; Carlos Daniel Flores, Andres Cristobel (Alyssa Violet) Flores, Sarah Hope Flores, Angela Faith Flores, Jacob Alexander Flores and Isaiah John Flores, sisters; Lucy (Phil) Norris and Nilda (Vince) Cantu, brothers; Efrain Flores, Jr. and Hector (Melba) Flores, 4 Grandchildren; Caleb Marcus Flores, Logan Samuel Flores, Nolan Thomas Flores and Riley Hannah Flores as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlie lived in Edinburg his entire life and was a graduate from Edinburg High School in 1973. He was a faithful servant of God and a member of El Buen Pastor Methodist Church in Edinburg. Charlie served the City of Edinburg as a Volunteer Firefighter for over 45 years. He also owned and operated Charlie’s Plumbing Service since 1990. He enjoyed traveling, playing billiards as well as fishing, hunting and planting citrus and plants, but his greatest joy was spending time his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family, Edinburg Fire Department family, friends, customers and all those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 5:00PM – 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at El Buen Pastor Methodist Church, 705 East University Drive, Edinburg, Texas. Christian Services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Valley Community Church, 3801 North Colonel Rowe Blvd in McAllen, Texas. Christian burial with Fire Fighter’s honors under the auspices of Edinburg Fire Department will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be his children and fire department honor guard. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
