Antonio Flores

Antonio Flores, 90, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on a Tuesday, July 22, 1930 in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Jose Angel Flores and Prudenciana Cantu. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Maria Cristina Garza.

Left to cherish his memories are his children; Ernestina Flores, Juan Antonio Flores, Rosa Linda (Rene) Salinas, Jose Angel (Carolina Tamez) Flores and Jorge Alberto Flores. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

Antonio lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Proving to be a hardworking man, Antonio worked for the City of Edinburg, Street Division, retiring in 1994 after dedicating 20 years to the city he called home. He loved playing his harmonica and enjoyed playing bingo. In his later years he attended Loving Touch Adult Day Care in Edinburg. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.

The Flores family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 1302 E. Champion Street in Edinburg. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 E Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg
