Abe Gonzales, 56, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 15, 2019 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on Sunday, June 2, 1963 in Weslaco, Texas to Antonio Gonzales and Maria Alicia Cardenas Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his father.
Abe is survived by his wife of 32 years; Rosenda "Rosie" Hernandez Gonzales, daughters; Ashley "Flaca" (Eric Uvalle) Gonzales, April "Gorda" (Oscar Escamilla) Gonzales, mother; Mary C. Gonzales, brothers; Antonio Gonzales, Jr, twins; Robert and Raymond Gonzales, sister; Debra Gonzales-Heaton and his first grandson; Austin Brady Escamillia who is due in January 2020.
Abe was a hard worker who lived life to the fullest. He worked as a broker in the trucking industry for many years. He enjoyed building model trucks, watching scary movies, WWE Wresting and cartoons, especially the Bugs Bunny cartoon. He also enjoyed lifting weights, bar-b-quing and detailing his truck which was his pride and joy. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Gonzales family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-DIaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
