Tomasa S. Salazar, 65, passed on peacefully to her eternal rest on October 24, 2010 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born on June 8, 1945 in Edinburg, Texas to Tomas Santos and Maria Olivarez.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son; Santos Gutierrez, brother; Zenon Moya and sister; Lala Martinez.
Tomasa is survived by her husband of 30 years; Joel A. Salazar, sons; Jose Francisco (Lucy) Gutierrez, Billy Joe (Angelita) Gutierrez, Juan L. Borjas, Joel (Ruby) Salazar, Jr., Nicolas (Lucy) Borjas, and Daniel (Yadira) Salazar, daughters; Rosaura (Luis) Hernandez and Cristo Salazar, brothers; Ramiro (Ninfa) Santos, Willie (Andrea) Santos, and Juan (Amalia) Santos, sisters; Olga (Baldemero, Sr.) Garces , Aurora Santos, 14 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. She will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.
Visitation for Tomasa will be Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeal Home in Edinburg. Christian services will be Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Val-Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
