Teresa “Tere” Jovita Trujillo, 56, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. She was born in McAllen, Texas on January 2, 1955 to Margarito Trujillo, Sr. and Juana Maria Sanchez Trujillo. She lived in Edinburg all her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Edinburg High School Class of 1972 and worked for the Hidalgo County Voters Administration for over 34 years. Tere was a very giving and compassionate person, who even in death gave to others by being an organ donor. She loved to volunteer at church and in other charitable events. She was a “GREAT AUNT” to all her nieces and nephews. She loved her dogs; Blue, Apple, and Zorro. She was a wonderful sister, aunt, and friend who will be truly missed by her family, co-workers, and all those whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, family wishes for donations to be made in memory of Tere Jovita Trujillo to The Comfort House, 617 Dallas Ave, McAllen, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother; Lorenzo Trujillo.
Left to cherish her memories are her brothers; Francisco Trujillo, Margarito Trujillo, Jr., Juan (Rachel) Trujillo, Sr., and Jorge (Delia) Escobedo, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The Trujillo Family will receive friends today, February 6, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m. in the Family Chapel at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be her nephews; Adrian Trujillo, J.J. Trujillo, Jaime Trujillo, Diego Ramirez, Jorge Escobedo, and Steven Solis. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
