Teresa Anaya, 40, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. She was born on February 22, 1970 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose Reducindo Anaya Sr. and Natividad Maria Perez.
She is survived by her mother, brothers; Jose R. Anaya Jr., Martin Anaya, Rogelio Anaya, Alberto Adan Anaya, and Eric Lee Anaya, sister; Alejandra Anaya, Godchildren; Jazmyne R. Martinez and Sandra M. Nava, thirteen nieces and seven nephews.
Is preceded in death by her father; Jose R. Anaya.
Teresa was a very unique and strong will woman. She lived in Edinburg all her life. She graduated from Edinburg High School in 1988. She also attended Vanguard Institute of Technology and graduated in 1992. She was a Eucharistic Minister and also taught C.C.D. classes at Holy Family Catholic Church. She worked at Ticket Master as a customer service operator for many years. Her favorite pastime was baking goodies, food and her delicious pot pies for everyone. She helped take care of all the children in her family and was known as “everyone’s Nanny”. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 5:00 p .m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Visitation will continue today, March 14, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian mass will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the distinguish honor to serve as pallbearers will be Jose R. Anaya, Jr., Martin Anaya, Rogelo Anaya, Danny Anaya, Eric Anaya, and R.J. Anaya. Honorary pallbearer will be Albert Adan Anaya. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
