Socorro Garza Gonzalez, 67, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 03, 2015 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born in General Bravo, N.L., Mexico on November 22, 1947 to Ramon and Gertrudes Garza. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Tiburcio Gonzalez, brother; Baldomero Garza and sister; Cristina Ortiz.

Socorro is survived by her children; Adelaida (Alejandro) Roque, Gregorio (Mirthala) Gonzalez, Octaviano (Guadalupe) Gonzalez, Juan Ignacio (Francisca) Gonzalez, Ramon (Janette) Gonzalez and Jesus (Yajaria) Gonzalez, brothers; Guadalupe Garza, Horacio Garza, Mauricio Garza, Martin Garza, Ramon Garza and Armando Garza, sisters; Ninfa Lara, Elsa Cantu, Irma Garza, Caridad Cadena and Maritza Garza, 12 – grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.

Socorro was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will truly be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Her family will receive friends today, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pharr. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers; Gregorio Gonzalez, Octaviano Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez, Ramon Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez and Armando Garza. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
