Silverio Alfaro, Sr., 67, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at his home in Edinburg. He was born on June 19, 1947 to Donaciano Alfaro and Maria Remedios Carrillo Alfaro in Chamacuaro, GTO., Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Alfaro; daughter, Ramona Ann Alfaro; brothers, Jose Alfaro, Jose Carrillo, Primitivo Alfaro; sisters, Tomasa Calderon, and Lucia Alfaro.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Manuelita Alfaro; son, Silverio (Veronica) Alfaro, Jr.; daughter, Laura (Carlos Valdez) Alfaro; brothers, Manuel Alfaro, Jose Encarnacion Alfaro; sister, Guadalupe Garcia; grandchildren, Roberto Carlos Valdez, Jose Damian Valdez, Jacob Adrian Alfaro, Viviana Alfaro, Valeria Alfaro, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Silverio was a very happy person who loved to sing, travel and make friends. He was a hard worker who instilled family values to his children. He was the Best husband and father that anyone could ask for, his family was his greatest joy.
His family will receive friends today, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Silverio Alfaro, Jr., Roberto Carlos Valdez, Alonzo Garza, Domingo Rodriguez, Manuel Alfaro and Adrian Salas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
