Santos Ramirez

Santos Ramirez, 79, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 25, 2025 at his residence in Edinburg, Texas. Santos was born in Edinburg, Texas on a Thursday, October 2, 1945 to Francisco Ramirez and Isidora Vera Ramirez. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Carmen Perez and brothers; Leonel Ramirez and Francisco Ramirez, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years; Maria Antonia Ramirez, children; Nora Ramirez, Leticia (Robert) Velasquez, Noel (Dulce) Ramirez and Jacqueline (John) Vega, siblings; Juanita Herrera, Dora Martinez and Oralia Rivas, 8 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

An entrepreneur of his own making, owning apartments, homes as well as owning/operating Ramirez Tax Services for over 40 years and was a barber for 30 years owning Salon de Santos. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, golfing, boating and going out for rides on his motorcycle. His favorite activity was spending time with his loving family, making memories with his children and grandchildren. Santos will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

The Ramirez Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Ruben Luna, John H. Vega, Hector Garcia, Robert Velasquez, Aaron Canchola and Frank Ramirez, III. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
