Samuel Villarreal, Sr., 71, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation in Edinburg. He was born on September 16, 1938 in Runge, Texas to Santiago Villarreal and Guadalupe Aranda.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Beatrice Rios Villarreal, brother-in-laws; Jose Barrera and J,R. Barrera.
Samuel is survived by his sons; Samuel (Cristina) Villarreal, Jr., Jaime (Pilar) Villarreal, Abel (Elise) Villarreal, Daniel (Rosaelia) Villarreal, brother; Elfido "Fito" (Felicitas) Villarreal, sisters; Emma Barrera, Gloria Barrera, Maria Elisa Villarreal and nine grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
