Samuel “Sam” Adolfo Garza, 69, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Sunday, October 23, 1952 in Edinburg, Texas to Andres Garza and Maria Mercedes Reyna Garza. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Rene Garza.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dalia S. Garza, son; Nicholas Ignacio Garza, siblings; Rosa Linda (Adolfo) Cantu, Gilda (Mike) Gonzalez, Andy (Ellie) Garza, Hector Daniel Garza, Ricardo (Corina) Garza and Marcos (Julie) Garza, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Sam lived in Edinburg all his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was the owner of La Gloria Welding Company for over 20 years. He was a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan, loved hunting, fishing, playing chalupa, barbequing and participating in cook-offs. He was a simple man who enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Garza family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Catholic burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1501 East Richardson Road in Edinburg, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers: Arturo Gonzalez, Isaac Cantu, Eric Garza, Nathan Garza, John Marc Garza and Hunter Silva. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
