Rogerio "Roy" Cruz, 54, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on Monday, April 16, 1962 in Los Garcias Ranch, Starr County, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father; Adolfo Lara.
Roy is survived by his mother; Maria Juana Lara, brother; Rafael Lara, nephews; Joshua Ethan Lara and Gabriel Nicholas Lara and niece; D'andra Reina Lara.
Roy graduated from Edinburg High School in 1981. He loved to listen to music and read books. He also enjoyed working with computers and was always making new inventions. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him.
His family will receive friends, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to La Blanca Community Cemetery in La Blanca, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
