Roberto “Robert” Flores, 60, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 08, 2012 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. He was born on December 23, 1950 in Edinburg to Domingo Flores, Sr. and Maria Ocanas Flores. He is preceded in death by his father and son; Robert Alex Flores.
Robert is survived by his wife; Cecilia Benavides Flores, son; Bobby Flores, daughter; Adriana (Jaime) Dimas, brothers; Domingo (Virginia) Flores, Jr., Richard (Esther) Flores, Rudy Flores, sister; Christina (Johnny) Witherspoon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert lived in Edinburg all of his life and graduated from Edinburg High School in 1972. He worked at Superior Oil Express for the last 4 years. Robert was a very humble and caring person who will be truly missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched.
The Flores family will receive friends today, March 9, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pharr. Having the distinguish honor to serve as pallbearers will be Rudy, Richard, and Mingo Flores, Jaime Dimas, Leroy Watts, and Julio Garcia. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
