Reymundo “Rey” Garza, 61, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Thursday, June 1, 1961 in Edinburg, Texas to Reynaldo G. Garza and Martha Cobos. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Leandro and Martha C. Ramirez, biological father; Reynaldo G. Garza, sister; Maria Aurora Garza and brothers; Jorge Garza and Noe Ramon.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 40 years; Eufemia Salinas Garza, son; Marcos Rey Garza, sisters; Martha Ramon and Evangelina Rogers, brothers; Joe Ramon, Roberto Ramirez and Eddie Ramon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Rey as he was affectionately known lived in Edinburg all his life and worked as a truck driver for over 40 years. He was also an EMT-Paramedic who helped run the family business Garza EMS/Edinburg EMS/Valley EMS for over 35 years. Rey also spent 9 years as a Police Officer and Security for Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, but devoted much of his life to helping others. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
