Rene Arnoldo Garza

March 4, 1965 — September 30, 2010

Rene A. Garza, 45, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. He was born in Edinburg to Andres Garza and Maria Mercedes Reyna. He is preceded in death by his father.

Rene graduated from Edinburg High School in 1983 and worked at Univeral Book Binder Company in San Antonio for 15 years. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Spurs, Longhorns, and Astros. He was a loving man who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved to say jokes, play pranks, and do bar-b-ques with the family. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will truly be missed by his family, friends, co-workers and all those whose lives he touched.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife; Irma Fierro Garza, Daughters; Audrey Lynn Garza and Abigail (Matthew Duran) Fierro, brothers; Samuel A. (Dalia) Garza, Andy (Ellie) Garza, Hector Daniel Garza, Rick X. (Corina) Garza, and Mark J. (Julie) Garza, sisters; Rosa Linda (Adolfo) Cantu and Gilda (Miguel) Gonzalez, grandchildren; Kianni Chanel Garza and Derek Matthew Fierro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Garza Family will receive friends today, October 4, 2010 from 12:00 noon – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. His nephews will have the distinguish honor to serve as pallbearers. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
