Rene Arteaga, 51, entered eternal rest on April 6, 2014 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born July 7, 1962 in Edinburg, TX to Juan Arteaga and Ninfa G. Arteaga. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ricardo Arteaga.
He is survived by his loving family; brothers, Fernando Arteaga, Homero Arteaga, Esteban Arteaga; sisters, Luz Elva Ruiz, Eva Garcia, Emma Arteaga, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rene lived most of his life in Edinburg. He was a very loving and caring person who was always very giving to others while never expecting anything in return. He was always looking after his family. He will truly be missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Family will receive friend Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 3:00pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian mass will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 10:00am at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion, in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Val-Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Robert Garcia, Jr., Rolando Ruiz, Jr., Daniel Ruiz, Michael Villanueva, Arnold Arteaga, and Luis Arteaga. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
