Ramon Rivera

Ramon Rivera, 80, entered eternal rest on Decenber 13, 2023 at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Tuesday, August 31, 1943 in Valadeces, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Fortunato Rivera and Maria Chapa Rivera. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Fortunato Rivera, Jr., Nazario Rivera, Clemente Rivera, and Viviano Rivera.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years; Maria G. de Rivera, children; Marco Antonio (Maria Cecilia) Rivera and Christina (Edgar) Rodriguez, sister; Diana (Filiberto) Villarreal, grandchildren; Cecilia Rivera, Marco Antonio Rivera, Jr., Verenisse Rivera, Christian Emmanuel Rivera, Carolina Rodriguez and Daniel Rodriguez.
Ramon was a hardworking Christian man, a farmer, who enjoyed dancing, music, loved mathematics but above all was a family man who loved helping others and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. Ramon will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.
The Rivera Family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 for a Memorial Service to be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Services will conclude after the memorial. Funeral services are under the direction of Johnny Garcia Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
