Ramiro M. Pena

Ramiro Morquecho Pena, 63, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. Ramiro was born on a Friday, September 8, 1961 in Weslaco, Texas to Israel Pena and Ramona Morquecho. He preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife; Lupita Pena, daughter; Teri Lynn (Fernando) Pena-Perez, siblings; Amalia Pena, Juan Pena, Israel (JR) Pena, Raul Pena & Ruben Pena.

Ramiro as a young man worked at a convenient store, where he met the love of his life, Lupita. He played high school football for the Weslaco Panthers, listened to music at full blast that the whole house was filled with his favorite songs. He enjoyed talking about cars, trucking, watching westerns on TV and being an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. Later in life he worked as a mechanic, roofing, construction and as a truck driver where he worked for many years discovering that trucking was his passion.

He would the kind of man to give the clothes off his back to help someone. Always helped anyone whether he knew them or not and had so many friends from his days in school to working, making even more friends he met at Dialysis. There are not enough words to express how devoted and loving of a husband and father he was and no matter what he was always there for us and all of our family. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. He truly was our Superman!

At this time the Pena has not scheduled any services for Ramiro, who was cremated on May 6, 2025. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
