Petra Ramos, 85, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Briarcliff Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McAllen. She was born in Alamo, Texas on June 22, 1930 to Jose Herrera and Regina Ayala. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Francisco Ramos, sisters; Paula Rodriguez and Francisca Aguilar.
She is survived by her son; Juan Manuel (Janie) Ramos and three grandchildren; Jade, Jon and Jasmyn Ramos.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and servant of God. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Edinburg. She enjoyed watching her favorite T.V. shows like Criminal Minds, CSI, Walker – Texas Ranger and Full House. She also enjoyed cooking and sewing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Christian services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
