Pascual "Duke" Rodriguez, 65, entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. He was born on April 29, 1945 in McAllen, Texas to Delfino Rodriguez, Sr., and Profiria Fuentes.
Duke is survived by his wife of 39 years; Maria "Betty" Rodriguez, parents; sons; Jesus J. Rodriguez of Aurora, IL, Johnny D. (Christina) Rodriguez and Billy R. Rodriguez of Morris, IL, daughter; Margarita E. (Juan) Ramirez of Aurora, IL, brothers; Roy (Karen) Rodriguez, Noel Rodriguez, Delfino (Denise) Rodriguez II, David (Kathy) Rodriguez, Robert (Diane) Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, Anthony Rogers Rodriguez of Edinburg, sister; Janie Griese of Missouri, 12- Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law; Lee Griese.
Duke worked as a Heavy Machine Operator for over 31 years. He was also a Veteran of Vietnam serving in the United States Air Force. He coached Youth Softball and was a Scout Master for Boys Scout. His hobbies included collecting Indian jewelry and canes. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
The Rodriguez family received friends and family on Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian mass will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow at R.G.V. State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
