Oscar Salinas

Oscar Salinas, 60, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Baylor University Medical Center – Gaston in Balch Springs, Texas. He was born on a Wednesday, April 11, 1962 to Fidencio Salinas and Juanita Rivera Salinas. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Lorenzo Salinas, Fidencio Lenny Salinas, Agustin F. Salinas and Ramon Salinas.
Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, San Juanita “Janie” Salinas, children; Amy (Justin) Montez, Oscar Salinas, Jr., Amanda (Jordan) Castillo and Andrea Salinas, sisters; Martha Ruiz, Jayni Duke, Rosalinda Salinas, Maria Thelma Clarke, Sylvia Solis, Angie Webster and Helen Reyna, grandchildren; Anthony Montez, Alyssa Montez, Andre Salinas, Aburey Salinas, Isla Salinas and Anaya Salinas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Oscar lived life to the fullest, he enjoyed boxing, fishing, hunting, off-roading, riding his motorcycle and carpentry. He was a jack of all traits. His greatest moments were spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Salinas family will receive friend Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be his family. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
