Olga G. Enriquez

September 30, 1952 — February 14, 2011

Ms. Olga G. Enriquez, 58, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on September 30, 1952 in Edinburg to Juan M. Garcia and Elvira Hinojosa Garcia. She graduated from Edinburg High School in 1973 and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. She worked in the educational system in Edinburg for over 25 years; beginning her career working at Pan American University for 10 years, then moving to Region One for 10 years and currently was employed with the Edinburg Consolidated School District in the Administration office. Olga loved to spend time with family at Barbeques and family gatherings. She was a very giving person who was simple but an extraordinary woman. She was one of the sweetest people on earth that you could ever meet; her children say “She was the Best Mother in the world”. Her greatest joy was spending time with her only granddaughter Abby. She was an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. Her memories and legacy will remain in her family’s heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband; Gilbert Enriquez, Sr.

Left to cherish her memories is her son; Gilbert Enriquez, Jr., daughter; Veronica Enriquez, granddaughter; Abigail Kristine Enriquez, brothers; Pedro F. (Belma) Garcia, Juan A. (Carmen) Garcia, Roberto H. Garcia and Carlos H. (Blanca) Garcia, sisters; Elvira Ochoa, Pauline (Rogelio) Canales and Rosario (Roland) Garza, numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be held today, February 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Serving as pallbearers will be Blas Gonzalez, David Martinez, Gilbert Enriquez Jr., Boonie Canales Jr., Randy Canales, and Ray Richard Ochoa.  Honorary pallbearers will Marcus Canales and Juan Carlos Garcia.   Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
