Nicomedes Jaramillo, 78, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. He was born on August 3, 1943 in Hidalgo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Alfonso Jaramillo and Isabel Porras Jaramillo. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Bernarda Jaramillo, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
He is survived by his loving daughters; Angelita I. (Ernesto) Gonzalez, Ana S. (Daniel) Whitzel, Alma L. Jaramillo, and Amalia J. Jaramillo, brother; Jose Jaramillo, grandchildren; Jackson Sauceda, Ema Whitzel, Clara Gonzalez, Danica Whitzel, Abigail Whitzel, Izabella Guerra, and Luna Guerra as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Nicomedes was a humble, hardworking man with a kind heart who spent 25 years working at North Alamo Water Supply. He was known for being a captivating storyteller with a witty sense of humor. He enjoyed the outdoors, landscaping his yard, collecting odds and ends, and spending Sunday mornings having breakfast with his family at Denny’s, one of his favorite restaurants. Nicomedes spent his life putting his family first and was always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
