Nicasio "Nick" Hinojosa, Jr.

Puerto Rico / Linn, Texas - Nicasio “Nick” Hinojosa, Jr., 83, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital in Baytown. He was born on a Monday, August 17, 1942, in Mission, Texas to Nicasio Hinojosa, Sr. and Hortencia Requenez Hinojosa. Nick is preceded in death by his parents and brother: David Carlos Hinojosa.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons; David Carlos Hinojosa, Omar Hinojosa, Ricardo Hinojosa and Eduardo Lino Hinojosa, 10 – grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Nick graduated from High School and then enlisted into the United States Air Force where he proudly served from 1960 – 1963. He later owned and operated Eagle Pest Control in Houston and the Rio Grande Valley for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and the ranch life living in Puerto Rico, Texas at the Santa Monica Ranch. His greatest joy was his sons and grandchildren. He was a great friend to many, and he will be truly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.

The Hinojosa Family will receive friends on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg with a Chapel Service to be held at 10:00 A.M. Christian burial will follow at Hinojosa Cemetery on Puerto Rico Road in Linn, Texas. Military honors will be done at the Funeral Home under the auspices of VFW Post # 8788. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Trent Hinojosa, Austin Hinojosa, Ethan Hinojosa and Robert Hinojosa: Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
