Maria Luz Divina Dimas

Maria Luz Divina “Lucy” Dimas, 62, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother in law; Merced Flores.
She is survived by her loving son; Christopher Jude (Cynthia Ramirez) Gonzalez, granddaughter; Aidaly Jade Gonzalez, 3 sisters; Maria San Juanita (Raul) Dimas-Rangel, Diana Dimas-Fores, Gerardina “Gerry” Dimas and brother; Jose Dominico (Patricia) Dimas, Jr. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucy as she was affectionately known worked at Dr. Ruben Pechero RGVO Center for 11 years and prior to that she worked at Economy Store as a Cashier Clerk. She was loving, giving, heart warming person who enjoyed such hobbies as crafts and puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
The Dimas family will receive friends and family on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Services will conclude after the mass for Lucy. Funeral services are under the direction of Johnny Garcia Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
