Maria Teresa Martinez

Maria Teresa Martinez, 94, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 26, 2023 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Friday, February 15, 1929 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico to Rosario Manriquez and Marcelina Renteria Manriquez. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Norma Linda Almazan, son; Guadalupe Martinez, grandchildren; Luz Martinez and Litha Martinez, 9 brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her loving children; Ismael Martinez, Guadalupe Martinez and Juan (Martha) Martinez, 23 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Teresa was always known as an independent, hardworker who once owned a restaurant in Edinburg. She especially loved her family and will be greatly missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg, Texas. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn in Edinburg. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
