Maria Yolanda Nino

Maria Yolanda Nino, 81, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at The Heights at Alamo in Alam, Texas. She was born on a Tuesday, January 2, 1945 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose Rosales and Esmeralda Cantu Rosales. She is preceded in death by her parents, son; Eddie “The Kid” Nino and Arnulfo Segovia, Jr.

She is survived by her loving children; Eleazar “Curly” Nino, Jr., Dina Denise Nino and Ronnie Roel Martinez, sisters; Josefina Segovia and Zulema Gutierrez, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Yolanda was a woman who loved life and enjoyed herself with hobbies such as arts & crafts, dancing and playing loteria. Going to “La Pulga / Flea Market” was one of her favorite things to do. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoying a cold drink with them such as Dr. Pepper and Coke. She will definitely be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

The Nino family welcome friends at a private memorial service on Thursday, April 23, 2026. They would like to thank everyone who may have attended, sent their condolences, flowers and food during their most difficult time. We ask that you continue to keep the Nino family in your prayers. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home and staff in Edinburg, Texas.
