Maria S Medina

Maria S. Medina, 92 entered eternal rest on Monday, April 18, 2022 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born on a Friday, December 27, 1929 in Rio Bravo, Tamps., Mexico to Eduardo and Loreto Salinas. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Ignacio Medina, daughter; Maria Miroslava Nader, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Maria is survived by her children; Juan Ignacio (Carmen) Medina, Cristino (Elia Lopez) Medina, Martha (Oliverio) Lerma, Marelene (Jaime) Lozano and Maria Magdalena (Jaime) Trevino, son-in-law; Jose Nader, 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, doing scratch off lottery tickets and going to the Casinos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her family will receive friends Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Jaime Lozano, Jr., Juan Ignacio Medina, Jr., Shaidell Rodriguez, Carlos Medina, Jabel Lozano, Jael I. Lozano, Oliverio Lerma, Jr., Jovanny Lerma, Ivan Lerma, Abram Lerma and Ivan Rios. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
