Maria Luisa Gonzalez

Maria Luisa Gonzalez, 69, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Wednesday, November 25, 1953 in McKinney, Texas to Frank Ramirez and Juanita Lopez Ramirez. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Francisco Ramirez, Jr. and brother in law; Alfredo Alaniz.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Rogelio Gonzalez, Sr., children; Claudia (Antonio Trevino, Jr.) Gonzalez and Rogelio Armando (Monette) Gonzalez, Jr, grandsons; Troy (Sydnee) Trevino, Robert Davila, Angel Parra and Rogelio Armando Gonzalez III, 1 great great grandson, Troy Hunter Trevino, brothers; Emiliano (Norma) Ramirez and Jaime (Yolanda) Ramirez, sisters; Teresa Rodriguez, Minerva “Lali” (Oliverio) Garza, Gricelda “Chela” Alaniz, Julia (Joe) Moya and Laura (Rolando) Ramirez as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria was employed at Haggar’s for over 20 years, Kolder Holder Inc. and Ochoa’s Pharmacy as well. She enjoyed going shopping and playing bingo in her spare time. Her greatest love was her family, baking for them often. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
The Gonzalez Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, 8310 Highland Avenue in Edinburg. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg.Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Rogelio Armando Gonzalez, Jr, Antonio Trevino, Jr, Troy Trevino, Robert Davila, Angel Parra and Rogelio Armando Gonzalez, III. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
