Maria B. Rodriguez

Maria Belen Rodriguez, 86, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas. She was born on a Saturday, January 28, 1939 to Julian Manriquez and Herculana Sandoval in Dolores, Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Isidro Rodriguez, Sr., two sons; Juan Rodriguez and Angel Francisco Rodriguez and brother; Leobardo Sandoval.

She is survived by her loving children; Jose (Dora Navarro) Rodriguez, Carlos (Manuela Soto) Rodriguez, Martha Leticia (Oscar Fuentes Hernandez) Rodriguez Sandoval, Irma Patricia (Maximiano) Rios, Pablo Antonio (Blanca Alicia) Rodriguez, Maria De La Luz (Ramiro) Carranza, Miguel (Yesenia) Rodriguez and Isidro Rodriguez, brother; Esteban Sandoval, 31 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Maria will always be remembered a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. At a younger age she worked at restaurants which inspired her love of cooking. Learning new recipes and her love of cooking was discovered working there. She had a love for nature, a green thumb which kept her flowers and plants in bloom and always looking beautiful. She especially enjoyed being with her family. She will be greatly missed by all those years.

The Rodriguez Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas with a burial to follow at Santa Fe Gardens Cemetery, 5050 3 Mile Rd Mission, Texas. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Isidro Rodriguez, Jr., Oscar Fuentes Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez, Jr., Aaron Rodriguez, Isidro Rodriguez and Julian Carranza. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home of Edinburg.
