Julia Muniz

Julia Muniz, 93, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at her residence. She was born on a Thursday, July 30, 1931 in Edinburg to Francisco Muniz and Guadalupe Peralez Muniz. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Paula Muniz Hernandez, brother: Fidel Muniz, and daughter; Juanita Barrientes.

Julia is survived by her daughter Idalia (David) Gonzales, a nephew whom she raised as her son; Ramon Castro. Six grandchildren; MaryAnn (Husvaldo) Gonzalez, Rose Marie Barrientes, Myda (Javier) Perez, Marin (Brenda) Romero, Anabel (Jose) Lopez and Jennifer Martinez. 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Julia was a life long resident of Edinburg. She will always be remembered as a beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandma, Nana & friend. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

The Gonzales and Castro Families will have a private burial scheduled for Julia at a date to be announced at a later time. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
