Juanita D. Ocanas, 88, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born May 6, 1924 in Gillett, Texas to Trinidad De Leon and Natividad Casanova Ocanas.
Mrs. Ocanas is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Carlos Ocanas, Sr., brother, Jesus De Leon, sisters; Josie Pedraza, Mary De La Garza and son; Martin Romeo Ocanas.
She is survived by her sons; Carlos Ocanas, Jr., Juan Jose (Leonor) Ocanas, David Ocanas, daughter-in-law; Sandra Ocanas, 4 grandchildern, 6 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
The Ocanas family will receive friends Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian mass will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Val-Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, TX. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral home in Edinburg.
