Joseph Galicia, 71, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at South Texas Health Systems in Edinburg. He was born on a Sunday, March 20, 1955 in Quezon City, Republic of Philipines to Abundio Galicia and Felisa Marano Galicia. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Wilson Galicia.

He is survived by his siblings, Abundio Galicia, Jr., Maria Lynn G. (Rudy) Imuan and Haydee Galicia as well as his sister in law; Leonila Galicia. Joseph will be missed by all those lives who he touched.

The Galicia family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 114 West Fay Street in Edinburg. Services will conclude after the mass. Joseph will return to his homeland for final burial, arrangements for burial are currently pending. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
