Jose Concepcion Torres, 67, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at McAllen Heart Hospital in McAllen. He was born on Sunday, August 15, 1948 in Florencia, Coahuila, Mexico to Julio Torres and Juana Valerio Torres. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Maria Isabel Torres and brother; Victor Torres.
Left to cherish his memories are his children; Jose C. (Isabel) Torres, Jr., Pedro Torres, Maria Monica (Geronimo Garcia) Torres, Maria Leticia Torres and Jose Eduardo Torres, sisters; Maria Del Rosario Hernandez and Margarita Jimenez, 8 - grandchildren, 2 - great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Jose worked for Pueblo Construction for over 10 years until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed buying tools, gardening, dancing, listening to spanish music and watching novelas and Dra. Pola. He was a very cheerful, caring and happy person. He was well respected by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
The Family received friends on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Pedro Torres, Jose C. Torres, Jr., Sergio Garcia, Jorge Garcia, Aaron Anthony Salaiz and Jose Eduardo Torres. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
