Jose Pulido, Jr.

Jose "Joe" Pulido, Jr., 72, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Hidalgo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edinburg. He was born on a Sunday, August 23, 1953 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose "Chune" Pulido, Sr. and Adelina "Lile" Olympia Guerra Pulido. He is preceded in death by his parents and son; Jose "Joey" Pulido, III.

He is survived by his daughters; Lori (Derrick) Sanchez and Chrissy (R.J.) Ramirez, grandchildren; Joey Guzman, Kaylee Ramirez, Diego Sanchez and Trey Ramirez, brothers; Jose Roberto (Diana) Pulido, Jose Eloy (Mari) Pulido, Jose Joel "Gordo" (Cynthia) Pulido and Jose Roel "Flaco" Pulido.

Joe enjoyed hunting, watching baseball and attending U.T.R.G.V. Vaqueros baseball games. He also loved bar-b-quing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and socializing with his friends and cousins.

Joe worked for the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District for over 36 years as a bus driver and security guard. He was the first K-9 officer in the school district. He was a hard worker and humble person. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. 

The Pulido family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be his grandchildren; Joey Guzman, Kaylee Ramirez, Diego Sanchez and Trey Ramirez. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
