EDINBURG — Jesus L. Gutierrez, Sr. 90, passed away January 3, 2015 in McAllen, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and 2 daughters.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Santos Ramos Gutierrez; daughters, Ma. Elena (Joe) Lozano, Carmen (Joe) Palomin, Lupita (Gene) Villanueva and Loreta (Benito (+)) Garcia; sons, Jesus, Jr. (Enedelia), Clemente (Rafaela (+)), Juan (Dalia), Joe, Robert (Leighann)and Ricardo Gutierrez; brother, Manuel Gutierrez; sister-in-law, Josefina Gutierrez, 19 – grandchildren, 9 – great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
The Gutierrez would like to give a “Special Thank You” to Colonial Manor Nursing staff for their care and compassion towards their father. He owned and operated Gutierrez & Sons Produce “Last Stop” in San Manuel for over 45 years. He will truly be missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends today, January 7, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be held Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
