Jaime Xavier Diaz entered into eternal rest on June 3, 2014 in Houston, Texas, after a couragous battle with cancer. He was born August 26, 1962 to Oscar R. Diaz and Hortencia R. Diaz in Edinburg, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father and brothers, Infant Oscar Diaz, Rolando Diaz & Rene Diaz.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Hortencia R. Diaz; siblings, Oscar (Lori) Diaz Jr., Mary Ann (Robert) Diaz- Cantu, David (Lisa) Diaz, Albert (Dianira) Diaz, Homer (Anna) Diaz, Diana E. Garza, Rudy (Lynda) Diaz, Ruben Diaz; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
Family will receive friends Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 E. Kuhn Street, in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jaime to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. Jaime whole-heartedly volunteered and was part of the cancer research program at Houston Methodist Hospital. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
