Ignacio Medina, 81, entered eternal rest on April 7, 2010 at Valley Baptist Hospital in Brownsville, Texas. He was born April 30, 1928 in San Vicente, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Prospero Medina and Martha Hernandez.
Mr. Medina is preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Macedonio Medina, Adanto Medina, Guadalupe Medina, sisters; Omelia Garcia, Maria Luisa Rodriguez, and Estefana Perez.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Maria S. Medina, sons; Juan Ignacio (Carmen) Medina, Cristino C. (Aide) Medina, daughters; Martha (Oliverio) Lerma, Maria Miroslava (Jose) Nader, Marlene (Jaime) Lozano, Maria Magdalena (Jaime) Trevino, brothers; Prospero Medina, Ubaldo Medina, sisters; Lydia Cavazos, Maria de la Luz Rodriguez, Martha Medina, 18 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Friday, April 9, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian services were held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg., Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
