Guadalupe Flores, 84 entered eternal rest on Monday, March 11, 2024 at McAllen Transitional Care Center in McAllen, Texas. Guadalupe was born on a Saturday, April 29, 1939 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose Maria Flores and Vicenta Ramirez Flores. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Jose Maria Flores, Jr., sister; Elisa Flores Villarreal and parents in laws; Refugio and Solia Perez.
Guadalupe is survived by his loving wife of 63 years; Hipolita P. Flores, loving children: Norma Linda (David) Flores-Davila, Sylvia (Mario) Rios, Minerva (Anastacio) Flores-Hinojosa, Guadalupe (Diana) Flores, Jr., Irene (Federico) Villarreal, Elisandro (Cindy) Flores and Jose M. (Pricilla) Flores, brother in law; Lorenzo (Ramona) Perez, 18 grandchildren; Ruben Flores, Jr., Monica Rendon, Sabrina Marie Rios, Sarina Marlene Rios-Scamardo, Mario Hector Rios, II., Mallory Nicole Lozano, Cassandra Yvette Lozano-Rubacalva, Aaron Joseph Lozano, Guadalupe Flores, III., Zoey Valle, Fred Eric Villarreal, Lori Lee Villarreal, Molly Nicole Villarreal, Brackie Flores, Delton Flores, Elicia Flores, Guadalupe Nico Flores and Matthew Jeremiah Flores and 25 great grandchildren.
He enjoyed living life; dancing, singing, whistling and just being outdoors. Guadalupe was a humorous man who enjoyed telling jokes. However his favorite thing to do was loving his wife and family and having BBQ’s with those he loved. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be deeply missed by family, friends and by all those whose lives he touched.
The Flores family would like to express their grateful appreciation and care given to their fahter during his stay at Legend McAllen Transitional Center, McAllen, Greater Valley Hospice, McAllen and Hospice Compassionate Care Services in Mission, Texas.
The Flores Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Norma Linda Flores, Sylvia Flores Rios, Minerva Flores, Guadalupe Flores, Jr., Irene Flores Villarreal, Elisandro Flores and Jose M. Flores. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director / Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
