Guadalupe “Lupita” Carlos, 101 entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Saturday, December 31, 1921 in Cuidad Victoria, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband; Martinano Carlos, daughter; Silvia Ramos, 3 sisters and a brother.
Lupita is survived by her daughters; Maria Theresa (John Carmona) Carlos, Maria del Refugio (Fidel) Gonzalez and Lupe Maria (Brian) Skates, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Lupita lived life to the fullest. She and her husband worked as migrant workers for many years to provide for their daughters. She also worked for the Holgate School District, Henry County Bank and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holgate, OH for many years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member of the Alter Rosary Society, Guadalupe Society and a Eucharistic Minister. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. There will also be a memorial wake on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM, with a Rosary to be prayed at 9:30 AM at Snyder Hoenig Funeral Home, 209 N. Wilhelm Street in Holgate, OH. Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 316 Chicago Avenue in Holgate, OH. Inurnment will follow to St. Mary’s Cemetery. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home and Snyder Hoenig Funeral Home.
