Gregoria "Goyita" M. Soto 92, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. She was born on Monday, June 9, 1924 in Mexico to Julio and Isidra Mendez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Arturo H. Soto, daughters; Emma Soto and Sarita Soto, son; Arthur Soto, grandson; David A. Soto, 3 - brother and 1 sister.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons; Armando (Jane) Soto, Roberto (Sarah) Soto, Efrain (Elizabeth) Soto, Abimael (Debbie) Soto, Israel (Irene) Soto, Hector (Ana) Soto, daughter; Delia Soto, brother; Jorge (Licha) Mendez, sister; Ramona (Kiko(+)) Castro, 20 - grandchildren, 24 - great-grandchildren, 2 - great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Gregoria lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Rock of Ages Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and reading her bible. She was a prayer warrior who instilled christian values and good morals to her family. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends today, October 7, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
