George Requenez

George Requenez, 62, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. George was born on a Tuesday, July 3, 1962 in Edinburg, Texas to Adolfo Requenez and Evelsa Ramirez Requenez. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Jose Maria and Bartolita G. Requenez, maternal grandparents; Enrique and Dora C, Ramirez and nephew; Cpl. James Adolfo Requenez.

George is survived by his loving wife of 10 years; Connie Aceves, parents; Adolfo “Fito” (Elma) Requenez and Evelsa R. Requenez, brother; Adolfo “Fito” (Alicia Aguilar) Requenez, Jr. and nieces; Amber Requenez and Nieves G. Requenez.

He worked for Simmons Railroad Company. George loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family and bar-b-quing. George’s passion for the outdoors included raising goats and racing horses. George will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.

The Requenez and Aceves family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. Viewing will continue on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM. Services for Mr. Requenez will conclude after Saturday's viewing. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
