Francisco Briseno, 79, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 11, 2012 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born May 11, 1933 in La Blanca, Texas to Cornelio Briseno and Maria Simona Marquez.
Mr. Briseno is preceded in death by his wife; Armandina Fuentes Briseno, parents; Cornelio and Simona Briseno, brother; Pedro (Soledad) Briseno, sister; Antonia (Celestino) Rodriguez, nephews; Reyes Briseno, Guadalupe Rodriguez, and niece; Elena Rodriguez.
He is survived by his brother; Saragoza Briseno, sisters; Felipa Briseno, Maria Inez Vega, Ernestina Aguilar, Enedina Briseno, Teofila Hawrick, Estefana Briseno and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Briseno Family received friends, Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian Mass will be held today, Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen, Texas. Having the honor of serving as pallbearers will be Paulo Alonzo, Christopher Montel, Pedro Briseno, Jr., Luciano Briseno, Jesse Aguilar and Eric Aguilar.. Military services will be under the auspices of VFW # 8788. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
