Filiberta Meza

Filiberta “Mage” Meza, 69, entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2013 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, TX. She was born to Juan Manuel Rodriguez and Dominga Gonzalez on March 14, 1944 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Juan Manuel Rodriguez and daughter, Maria Luisa Meza.

She is survived her loving family; Sons, Juan Manuel (Maria) Rodriguez, Eleazar (Vicky) Meza, Jesus Jose (Angelica) Meza, Jr.; Daughters, Ana Bertha Meza, Dominga (Juan) Telles, Carmina (Felipe) Rodriguez, Gesenia Perez; sister, Antonia Rodriguez; 17 –Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Filiberta lived in Edinburg most of her life. She enjoyed spending her time at home taking care of her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will truly be missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Family will receive friends today, Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian mass will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian Burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Jesus Jose Meza, Jr., Juan Telles, Juan Manuel Rodriguez, Ismael Camarillo, Jr., and Reynaldo Perez, III. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
