Emiliano R. Ybarra

Emiliano R. Ybarra, 75, entered eternal rest on Friday, May 2, 2025 at his residence in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Sunday, April 30, 1950 in San Juan, Texas to Juan Ybarra & Maria Isaias Castro. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother; Jose Ybarra.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years; Rebecca Ybarra, daughters; Rebecca Irene Ybarra, Marisela (Tommy) Escobedo and Araceli (Rafael) Ybarra-Flores, 3 grandchildren; Rebecca (Adrian) Gonzalez, Giovanna Leal and Dorian Leal, great grandson; Marshall Martinez, siblings; Jose Ybarra, Juan Ybarra, Maria Villarreal, Francisco Ybarra and Roberto Ybarra as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Emiliano served during Vietnam as a proud Sgt. in the United States Marine Corps. Deep in his faith, he held daily bible studies and Sunday school as well as serving as a Pastor for Iglesia Evangelica Libre del Valle in Mission, Texas. He was a Marine, faithful Pastor as well as a salesman for Clark Chevrolet for 10 years. He enjoyed gardening and exercising but his favorite times were spending time with his family. Known as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, Pastor and friend to many that he will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

The Ybarra family will receive friends on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a prayer service to be held at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM also in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Guadalupe Cemetery, 400 West Bell Street, Pharr, Texas. Marine Corps honors will be under the auspices of Marine Corps League RGV Detachment of Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home of Edinburg.
